ABOUT the SUMMIT

Tbilisi International Summit of Crafts and Design “EthnoFest 2020” is one of the important platforms in South Caucasus which combines expo, exhibitions, trainings, presentations, public speeches, business meetings and other events. It is three day gathering of the representatives of creative industries: designers, entrepreneurs, artisans, craftsmen, artists, makers etc.


EthnioFest is attended by the International and local experts, sales agents, tour operators, business. It creates opportunities for the economic sustainability of the sector, mobility of the crafts products and integration of the producers on international market and development of local crafts market.


Like other similar Fairs EthnoFest represents the novel touristic destination for locals and the guests of Tbilisi.
EthnoFest was establishes by Georgian Arts and Culture Center in the frames of EU funded project in 2016. The co-organizers and co-funders of the first two editions were Tbilisi City Assembly; Tbilisi City Hall; Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia; National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia; National Administration of Tourism; Enterprise Georgia, Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara ; USA Embassy in Georgia; Embassy of Netherlands in Georgia; Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation; Tbilisi State Academy of Arts and other local and international organizations.


EthnoFest is organized on the biennale principle and in 2020 will take place in ExpoGeorgia on October 2, 3, 4.

The summit agenda includes:

* Craft and Design International Expo
* Public lectures and presentations
* Trainings and workshops and consultations in international market requirements led by the visiting experts
* Series of special networking sessions
* Contests “The Best Booth”
